After a successful 2008 / 2009 cricket season Seddon Park is now being renovated in preparation for the new season.

Main Pitch Block:

Work on the main pitch block is now completed and looking good at this stage. The pitch block is reassessed in spring so that any minor work can be carried out.

The Outfield:

Due to some inclement weather Turf Manager Karl Johnson has had to modify the planned programme for the outfield. This is really frustrating for the team as they try to core, seed and topdress as the weather allows them. Karl and his team plan to catch up on this process in the spring when conditions allow me to complete these properely.

Practice Area Block:

All completed and looking good at this stage. As usual this will be assessed in spring to see how things are looking for any minor work that may be needed at that time. This area was renovated first and does has a fantastic grass cover which is important due to the early season use the facility will get.

Practice Area Block Runups:

This area also has been completed late last week and is looking good also. Its important to keep  check on the thatch build up on this area as during the season it is not possible to do too much in terms of physical treatment to the area, due to the amount of useage this area recieves.
